When a major technology company decided to review their guarding services, they were looking for suggestions on cost minisation. This represented an opportunity for SNP Security to deliver guarding services with innovation, through the integration of Electronics and Guarding Services.
The challenge was to simultaneously reduce staffing levels to meet the client requirements, and deliver a higher level of service than the client had been receiving from their previous security provider.
SNP Security developed a unique solution, incorporating electronic monitoring services, technical support services with a traditional guarding solution.
Moving Access Control Monitoring off-site
The electronic monitoring services were previously provided by the clients’ Head Office, with two guards monitoring the national access control system on a 24/7 basis. This monitoring function was then moved to SNP’s Grade A1 monitoring centre in West Ryde. The advantage was twofold: a heightened level of security and uninterrupted business continuity.
Furthermore, SNP Security interfaced the corporation’s Monitoring system with our proprietary “Alarm Response Tracking system (ARTS), which ensures that each alarm event is tracked against a patrol response.
SNP Security has delivered on the service promised, through our integrated systems, the technical support provided to assist in the move, and in requiring less manpower than originally estimated by the client. SNP’s customised reporting abilities have allowed the client to further reduce costs.
In addition, the quality of guards services on the premises has been remarked upon by several staff who have praised their friendly service and diligence in checking security passes.
SNP Security brought together a team of experts from across the business to develop the solution, including the Monitoring Centre Manager, Guarding Services, Engineering and IT representatives. Working closely with the client, the SNP Security team overcame the technical challenges and together ensured all deadlines were met.
